American Apparel & Footwear Association's American Image Awards, June 21st, 2021

Join us Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at The Plaza – New York City

Owned and operated by American Apparel & Footwear Association (AAFA) for more than 40 years, the American Image Awards has been honoring those who have exemplified leadership, excellence, and outstanding achievement in all sectors of the apparel and footwear industry — including design, manufacturing, and retail. Proceeds from the evening will support our charity beneficiary, the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) Foundation as it advances design innovation through mentorships and business grants.

Steven Kolb, CEO, CFDA

"We thank the AAFA and all those who attend the American Image Awards for the support to the CFDA Foundation, which will help continue in our important efforts."

Patrice Louvet, President & CEO, Ralph Lauren Corporation

“Fashion is, and always has been, the story of impossible dreams made real. Of bold visions pursued unwaveringly. So yes, I believe that a bright future is possible. It can be built, and we can build it together.”

CaSandra Diggs, President, CFDA

“We are now prioritizing the transformation of our industry to bring an end to racial injustice within it. We are extremely appreciative of our longstanding partnership with AAFA and the invaluable resource you bring to our community.”

Erica Forstadt, Vice President, Current Production, Bravo Media

“We strive to highlight the evolution of inclusive and diverse fashion.”

Brooke Baldwin

“... You have proven time and time again that fashion can be a catalyst for social activism and political change....we all must be resilient right now.”

Kenneth Cole

“I thank the AAFA for this award. It’s at moments like this I’m reminded that fashion is what we do … it’s not who we are. Fashion can be a powerful means to a more meaningful end; it is a way to represent ourselves every day to the world, and it’s also encourages and celebrates the acceptable social and ethical standards by which we do it.”
